Being in the west we decided that seeing wild horses would be amazing. We knew it would be about a 4 hour adventure and that actually seeing wild horses was rare. So we put the zoom lens on the camera and set off into horse country. We saw plenty of hoofprints and horse poo but no wild free stallions. Then we turned around a a corner and a meadow opened up and can you believe it? HORSES!! Real wild western horses! Three of them! We took about a hundred pictures. THEN, as if this couldn't get any better, five more horses came trotting out from under the trees and THEN they ran! Just amazing. Then we somehow got off the beaten trail, but not lost... And our trip quickly gained a couple of hours. Back to red cliffs to camp tonight and then off to Bryce Canyon area.
